Obituary of Joseph A. Greco

On January 15, 2021 Joseph A. Greco passed away at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, predeceased by his wife Josephine.  Joseph was born April 21, 1927 in New York City to Joseph and Virginia Greco.  Joseph grew up with 3 siblings - Connie, Katherine and Ciro.

Joseph served in the US Army from 1945-1947.  After being honorably  discharged  from the military he married the love of his life Josephine (Cellio) in 1950.  Together they had 4 children, Virginia DeLuccia (James), Joseph  (Phyllis), Richard (Gail) and Robert (Khris).  He had 6 grandchildren Jessica, Nicole, Stefanie, (Ben), Joseph, Victoria (Kevin), Josephine and 3 great grandchildren (Leigha, Gaven, Olivia) 

Joseph was a Yonkers Motorcycle Policeman and worked in the Yonkers Traffic Court until his retirement in 1989 after serving for 38 years.  He was a parishioner of Mt Carmel Church in yonkers his whole life.  He loved all sports, an avid  handball player and a life long member of the YMCA. He especially enjoyed golf after his retirement.
