Obituary of Farid Annabi
Please share a memory of Farid to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The Annabi family is grieving at the loss of their beloved patriarch, a loving husband, a loving and giving father and grandfather.
Farid Fadi Annabi was born on December 26, 1938 to Fadi Afnan and Hisin (Lutfi) Annabi in Ermenin, Jordan.
Farid married his beautiful wife, Nahil Wahban Sayegh on February 13, 1967.
Together they raised four beautiful children.
Farid worked for many years at Stewart Stamping in Yonkers until 1980, when he began as a bus driver at Liberty Lines. He loved his routes, his passengers and they remember his smile, laughter and singing along the route lines. Freddy retired from Liberty Lines in 2001.
Freddy was one of the original founders of The Good Shepard Church on South Broadway in Yonkers.
Farid Annabi is survived by the love of his life, Nahil Annabi of 53 years, his four children, Amjed (Mary), Majed (Jacqueline), Elizabeth Breil (Kenneth) and Christopher (Chelsea) and five beautiful grandchildren, Andrew, Vincent, Alexis, Kristen and Julie. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Farid will be remembered for many things, his laughter, smile, singing and dancing. His famous words to everyone "How's your mother-in-law?" When you answered, he gave you gum and candy. Freddy loved everyone and everyone loved him.
Our dinners, celebrations and Sunday mass will never be the same.
