Beverly Ann Palazzo age 83 passed away on 1/29/21 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital. Beverly was born to Josephine Delamater (Zorillo) and Horace Delamater Sr. on December 16th, 1937. Beverly was the wife of the late Salvatore Palazzo. Beverly had worked for many years at the Herald Statesman and the Gannett Newspapers.
Beverly was one of a kind. She was tough as nails but she had a heart of gold. There wasn't anything "Big Bev" wouldn't do for anyone. Bev was truely a people person. When you met her you knew you had met a friend for life. Bev wasn't shy and you always knew what was on her mind.Her greatest joy was being a Nanny. She absolutely adored her grandchildren, Bev loved to color. She spent many hours coloring pictures for her family and friends. If you went to visit her there was no way you weren't leaving without one of her masterpieces. Beverly will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Beverly is survived by her two daughters Lynn Tirado, Lori Wynimko and her husband Christopher. Five grandchildren. Danielle Burnett and her husband Daniel, Samantha Wynimko, Arianna Badia and Nicholas Perez. She was predeceased by her husband Salvatore Palazzo, her mother Josephine Delamater (Zorillo), her father Horace Delamater Sr. and her brother Horace Delamater Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday February 8th, 2021 from 3pm-7pm at The Community Home for Funerals located at 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers NY 10701. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday February 9th, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church located at 670 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers NY 10704.
