Awni Almashini was my father and I loved him with all my heart. He was the smartest, wisest, strongest willed man I’ve ever known. He had a tremendous intuition and spoke the straight clear truth. Theres not a day that goes by that I dont miss his voice in my ear. I never realized how much I was going to miss his guidance. Awni was an indelible presence, a funny man, and an artist at heart. He always told me to never waste time, to harness and use my energy while I still could and to always eat well, dress well and like a good life. He believed you should live with honor and dignity. I miss you so much baba, its so hard to continue with you but I’ll make you proud, I promise
