Obituary of John Asa Rohlehr Jr.
John Rohlehr lived in Hastings on Hudson with his wife Martha for more than 40 years. He graduated from the NY School for the Deaf and had worked at Citibank for 13 years. He was a member of Times Square Church (TSC Deaf Ministry) since 2003. He LOVED watching Hastings (HOH) sports ESPECIALLY his oldest grandson play Hastings basketball!!! He was often seen happily strolling through Hastings with a bright smile. He and his wife of 47 years came to Hastings-on-Hudson (HOH) to raise their family. Their two children, Justin and Ada, who both graduated from Hastings High School, are CODAs (Child of Deaf Adults). Ada is raising her family in HOH and Justin and his family live in Maryland. John at 77 years of age passed away on Monday March 22nd, 2021 due to complications from COVID. He valiantly fought throughout the course of the virus often asking his daughter how the other family members were doing and telling her he loved them. He was still thinking about his family up until his last breath. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 3:16pm, which in scripture John 3:16 reads: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." AMEN. The funds here are requested to help pay for John's funeral and other expenses. Any amount would be SO greatly appreciated. Thank you IMMENSELY with enormous gratitude!!!
