Anthony Vecchiano March 24, 1942 - April 4, 2021 Anthony Vecchiano, 79 from Yonkers, NY passed away April 4, 2021. Visitation will be held at Sinatra Memorial Home Friday April 9, 2021 4-8pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Church, Bronxville, NY on April 10, 2021 at 9:45am. Anthony was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 24, 1942 to parents Rose (Petrizzo) and Frank Vecchiano. He was a man of many talents and occupations, each one he proudly wore as badges of honor. After graduating from a culinary trade school, he was a baker at Mohonk Mountain House. He then went on to serve as a medic in the US Army. After returning home as a veteran of the Vietnam war, he became a bus driver with the MTA where he worked for over 20 years. He retired from the MTA in 1992 only to return as a bus driver with Liberty Lines where he worked also for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing golf, watching TV, chess, paid close attention to the stock market, loved taking trips with his wife of 50 years, but most of all loved time spent with his family. Anthony is survived by his wife Denise (Vetrano) of Yonkers, NY, his daughter Katie and son-in-law James Sutherland, his grandchildren, Anthony, Grace, and Sophie, and nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends who all loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents Rose and Frank and his beloved brother John Vecchiano. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
