Obituary of Nancy E. Harden

Nancy (Vitkauskas) Harden of Katonah, NY, Holiday, FL and formerly of Waterbury, CT passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021 after long illnesses. Nancy was born in Waterbury on March 26, 1947. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High and Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. In 1985, Nancy married John Harden and the two enjoyed many years of retirement between FL and NY. Nancy was an active volunteer in the Tanglewood Ladies’ Auxiliary, organizing spaghetti dinners and fashion shows for the community. She was an avid gardener and crafter, creating beautiful quilts and knit items. Nancy was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Stella Vitkauskas  and husband John Harden. She is survived by her sisters and best friends, Lillian McCarty and Irene Mankoski as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Calling hours will be at Oelker- Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, Inc. 262 E. Main Street, Mt. Kisco, NY at 9:30 on May 5 followed by a mass of Christian burial at St. Mary’s Church, Katonah at 11:00.
