Manuel Sylvestre Barreto , beloved husband, father , grandfather, brother and friend passed away on May 24th 2021 at the age of 86.
Manuel Barreto was born in Montes Juntos, Albufeira Portugal and married his beloved surviving wife of 52 years Maria Do Carmo Barreto . Loving father to Paul and Nelson , adored by his daughter-in-laws Helena and Christina , cherished by his beautiful grandchildren Amanda , Alexa , Jaden, Nathan, Mateo , Christian and Evie Sophia . Manuel migrated to Yonkers , NY in 1963 where he provided an amazing loving life to his family.
Manuel was a hard-working dedicated man that spent 20 years as a construction worker and owned his Pest Control business. Manuel will forever be remembered for his everlasting smile , gracious and positive attitude and his will to live . Never a complaint through the trying times as he held strong and demonstrated the meaning of courage to his family. Man of few words but many sayings . His actions spoke volume with memories that are implanted to all that he touched. Truly one of kind that lit up a room .
Pai you will always "be good " and we promise you "we are good" knowing you're at peace in the grace of God . You will be loved and missed by all.
