Samuel Theodore Mlynar, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, passed away on May 23, 2021 at the age of 80. In 1965, he married Mary Delores Zugecic, a native of Kansas City. In 1969, they moved to Pound Ridge, NY where they raised two children. Sam was an innovator in the world of advertising and promotions and an active member of the community for more than 50 years. He truly enjoyed nature, hiking, politics, and travelling the world. He was active in town government for decades, serving on the Zoning Board of Appeals and most recently on the Pound Ridge Planning Board. Sam is survived by his wife, Mary Delores, two children, Ted of Bedford Corners, NY and Greg of Medina, OH; grandchildren CJ, Aurelius, Seraphina, Martin, Amadeus, and Emma Mlynar; sister Nancy Sherman of Huntington Beach, CA; and brother Robert Mlynar of New Fairfield, CT. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Lou Gow. A wake will be held on Thursday, May 27 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home located at 262 East Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY (ph: 914-666-5891). The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church located at 7 Pound Ridge Road, Bedford Village, NY (ph: 914-234-3344). A burial ceremony will follow.
