Obituary of Jody Virtuoso

Jody Virtuoso, nee Ingrassia, of White Plains, NY, passed away at home on June 11, 2021 after a 12-year long battle with cancer. She was blessed to be surrounded by her family as she returned home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her youngest sister, Tracey Lee Ingrassia-Passaro, and her spouses, Ronald Letterio and Ronald Virtuoso.

Jody was born in the Bronx to Theresa Pantore and Ronald Ingrassia, Sr on July 20, 1958. She was a homemaker and worked for several years as a home healthcare worker.

Jody is survived by her loving family: Her children, Theresa Letterio-Maxwell (Andrew), Felisha Virtuoso (Joshua), Jessica Virtuoso, and Jonathan Virtuoso (Emily); her sister Toni Del’Ostia (John) and brother Ronald Ingrassia, Jr.; her cherished grandchildren, Madison, Andrew, Julian, Jacob, Veronica, L.J., and Alexis; her nephew and niece whom she raised, Anthony and Faith; her adored nieces and nephews, Jacquelyn, John, Ronnie, Devenna, Gianna, Annabella, and Dante; her beloved Aunt Jo; and many, many much-loved cousins.

Our loved warrior fought until the end, and we are so deeply proud of her. Please join us to honor her memory and celebrate her life and strength. Services will be Monday, June 14^th from 2pm-4pm and 6:30pm-8:30pm at Sinatra Funeral Home, 499 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 15^th at 10:30am at St. John the Baptist, 670 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704, finishing with cremation procession with immediate family to Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530.

Friends and family are welcome to join the family before the funeral mass at Sinatra Funeral Home from 9:00am to 9:30am to pay final respects.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jody’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, or Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
