Joseph Sebastian Pergola, Sr., 72, of Barnegat, NJ, was born in Yonkers, NY on November 26, 1948 to parents Sebastian Joseph Pergola and Elisa Louise Pergola (Concia). He was happily married for 44 years to Janet M. Pergola (Nunziato), since deceased. He is survived by sons Joseph S. Pergola, Jr. and James J. Pergola, and grandchildren Joseph C. Pergola and Sienna R. Pergola; his brother Robert Pergola and spouse Diane Pergola (Prieto), and children.
Joseph loved the simple things in life. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed poker, bowling, fishing and, most of all, tending to his home in New Jersey. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and was happiest surrounded by friends and family-—especially his grandchildren.
A lifelong resident of Yonkers, Joseph was a veteran (US Army) and, as a member of the Teamsters Union Local 456, was a truck driver, and worked for and retired from Richard's Lumber in Mount Kisco.
He was incredibly loved by all who crossed his path and will be eternally missed.
