Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Cardamone

Mary Cardamone, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away of natural causes with her family by her side in her home in Beacon, NY, on June 25, 2021. Born, in Yonkers, NY, on February 21, 1931 to Herbert and Mary Prince, Mary was a life long resident of Yonkers, NY until she moved to Beacon, NY in 2010. Mary served proudly in the Women's Army Corps, stationed in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean war in 1953. She married her husband, Michael on Dec 17, 1954 in the Commonwealth of Virginia and together they raised their six children in Yonkers NY. Mary dedicated her life to her family … her pride and joy. She is survived by her husband, Michael, of 67 years; six children Michael Cardamone and his wife Kathleen, Marian Sciarpelletti and her husband Francis, Steven Cardamone and his wife Debra, Christine Desnoyers and her husband Michael, David Cardamone and his wife Teresa, John Cardamone and his wife Dana; 12 grandchildren; 1 step-grandson; 1 great-granddaughter and many loved ones from her extended family. Mary lived life to the fullest, she had a great sense of humor, loved to sing and dance and was always the life of the party. She was kind and generous, had a heart of gold and touched the lives of many. She will truly be missed. Funeral services will take place at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 4-8pm. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at St John the Baptist, 670 Yonkers Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to one of Mary's favorite charities, St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
