Obituary of Dorothy Selja

Dorothy Selja impacted many lives in her time on earth, most especially the ones who held her close to their hearts. She did all things from love, with her heart and soul. She had a quiet strength and humble exterior. She remained an anchor, unshaken by life's storms, for her family's sake and for this, she will forever be the matriarchal hero of their memories. Dorothy's favorite flower was the Lily of the Valley. She took loving care of all of the family pets. She loved spending time relaxing outdoors listening to oldies. Her favorite baseball team was the NY Yankees, and she enjoyed attending classic car shows and casinos. On special occasions, she would indulge in a midnight toast and girl talk. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband John and two sons, Jimmy and Joseph. Dorothy leaves behind her surviving sister Ellen. She says goodbye to her living children Nora, John, and Dorothy. Her legacy will continue through her grandchildren Kristine, Michael, Joey, Samantha, John Jr., and Sabrina, as well as her great-grandchild Aidan. In addition, Dorothy has also left her nieces and nephews, who she thought of as her children. Her incomparable love and loyalty will always be remembered fondly by all who knew her. What can you say about life? It starts and it ends.. it has it's ups and it's downs and moments in between.. there are facts & there are fictions and sometimes little shades of gray.. big surprises and tiny tragedies.. huge losses and small gains.. smiles through the pain and tears through the joy and even sunshine after the rain.. although we do not know what happens after life commences, there is one thing we know with certainty and that is.. …It must go on… In honor of those who have passed, we cherish their memories and legacies by living in harmony and respect of the lives they led. We keep them in our hearts and in our heads until one day, we too are laid to our final rests.
