John R. Molinaro of Mt. Kisco, New York, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the age of 85. John died peacefully with the love and support of his family and is now with his beloved wife of 58 years Patricia Molinaro.
John was born in Mt. Kisco on June 23, 1936 to parents Joseph and Mary Molinaro. John was the second oldest of five siblings, deceased Ernest Molinaro, Joan Spasiano, Rose Marie Coppola, and Frank Molinaro (Susan). John was a hard worker from an early age. He was also athletic with a love of sports, particularly football.
John had an active life style. He was a volunteer firefighter for over 60 years and served the Mutual Engine & Hose Company of Mt. Kisco. He served multiple roles, including Captain, President, Benevolent President, Firefighter, and as noted by the fire department, "Good Friend." He also provided for his family with over 40 years of service to the propane industry and was a dedicated, long-time parishioner and usher at St. Frances of Assisi. He also loved to tinker with cars and house projects.
John was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his loving family, including children Mary Louise Molinaro-Pecora (John) and Joseph Wray Molinaro (Kimberly); grandchildren John Joseph Pecora (Kate), Tricia Stoneking (Michael), Anthony Pecora, Christopher Pecora, Vince Pecora, Dean Molinaro (Alyssa), and Anna Molinaro; and great-grandchildren Jack, Paul, Boone, Sofia, and Brielle. He will be deeply missed by his family.
A visitation for John is planned for Friday, July 16th, from 4 pm to 8 pm. The visitation will be at the Oelker-Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home on 232 Main Street in Mt. Kisco, and a funeral is planned for Saturday, July 17th, at 10:00 AM at St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church at 2 Green Street in Mt. Kisco. All are invited to attend.
