Peter A. Maria, age 92, of Yonkers died Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Peter was born September 1, 1928 in Bayonne, NJ the son of the late Nunzio and Catherine (De Maria) Maria. Beloved husband of the late Josephine Maria and was predeceased by his son Peter Maria. He served in the Army from 1946 to 1954 during Korea & World War II war. He was a baseball umpire for 25 years in Yonkers and Mt. Vernon. He was employed by the Westchester County Dept of Parks for 25 years and retired as a Park Superintendent from Sprain Ridge Park. Peter is survived by his daughter-in-law Tina Maria and his grandchildren Christa and Peter Maria.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11:30 AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
