Viola Vittoria Liberatore Polidoro passed away on September 30, 2021 at her home in Yonkers, NY. She was 105 years old. Viola was born to her loving parents, Laura and Antonio Liberatore, in their home at 81 Albevust Street, Boston, MA which is now a part of the Alvah Kitteridge Park.
Viola married the love of her life, Pompeo Polidoro on April 1, 1933 in Pietraferrazzana, Italy. They then emigrated to New York in 1953. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Society of Mount Carmel Church in the Park Hill section of Yonkers. Her hobbies included; knitting, crotcheting & gardening.
Viola is survived by her daughter Domenica and her daughter-in-law, Lucy. Along with her loving grandchildren, Linda(Rocco), AnnaMaria(Christopher) & Anthony(Kristen); great-grandchildren, Rocco John, Christopher, Gianna, Daniella, Julia Toni and Jaynie Grace & her great-great grandson, Anthony.
Viola was predeceased by her siblings, Alfred, Americo & Ida and her son, Anthony.
Visitation will be held at the Sinatra Memorial Home (499 Yonkers Avenue), on Sunday, October 3rd from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Church on Monday, October 4th at 10:00 AM followed by an entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
