Elena Cardillo entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021 at the age of 92. Elena, or "Lenu", was born in Selvacava, Italy, where she later married Luigi Cardillo in the same town. After their emigration to the United States, the couple settled in the Bronx, NY to raise their sons in pursuit of the American Dream. Elena was always known for her cooking, spectacular garden, and for being the most loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.
Elena is precessed by her husband Luigi, her four brothers and two sisters, as well as her son, John. She was a devoted and loving mother to her sons Anthony (Marisa), Salvatore (Gayle), and Albert (Susan) and to her grandchildren Alexis, Brianna, Alaina, Samantha, Stephanie and Louis, and to her great-grandchildren Austen, Giovanni, and Sienna.
Elena was a selfless person who put everyone before herself and was the true matriarch of her family. She will be missed by so many.
