Obituary of Salvatore R. Amuso

Salvatore R. “Uncle Chubby” Amuso, age 91 of Yorktown Heights died Friday, December 17, 2021. Salvatore was born in Mt. Kisco, NY the son of the late Rocco and Grace (Pasquale) Amuso. He was employed and retired from United Refrigeration in Elmsford, NY in sales.

Sal enjoyed volunteering at the Yorktown Nutrition Center were he helped prepare meals for seniors. A job that he loved. He also enjoyed in his spare time going for long walks.

Beloved husband of the late Susie (Cimerola) Amuso. Devoted father to Jeffrey & wife Bea (Medeiros) Amuso. Loving grandfather to Rebecca and Anthony. He is predeceased by his sister Teresa Genovesi and brother Dominick Amuso. Survived by his sister Agnes “Cookie” D’Avola.

Visitation is on Wednesday, December 22nd from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home.
