Lucille V. Bates born February 24, 1927 in Rye, NY.. To the late Fred and Rebecca Calabrese . They moved to Armonk ,New York , when Lucille was two years of age. There she lived for the next 90 years. Then moved to Yorktown Heights, New York for the next two years. Lucille was married to the love of her life William "Billy" Bates who passed in August 1981. Lucille had a son Wesley who died the day he was born in October 1949. She kept herself busy, from being a candy striper at the hospital, to working at her father's restaurant "The Veterans Stop" she worked in a doll factory, then at a job when computers came out. Lucille loved riding her snowmobile with her husband and other snowmobile riders. Lucille loved being a member of the American legion post 1097 where she had many different positions first vice commander, Ladies Auxiliary, she did fundraising and very much enjoyed decorating the Legion when an event was about to happen. Lucille is survived by her sister Lilly Rains 98 years old of Louisiana. Also survived by her niece Tina Tompkins who she thought of as her daughter. Also other nieces and nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nephews one of whom captured her heart baby Gary Tompkins Pre-deceased by her husband Billy Bates, sisters, Rose See and Ida Ross, and Brother Alfonso "Sonny"Calabrese who she was very close to.
