On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, Paula Inkeri Voutilainen (Aarnio) passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 73.
Paula was born September 18, 1948 in Raahe, Finland. She was the 2nd oldest child of 8 born to Martti & Aili Aarnio. Grew up in Raahe, moved to New York in 1968, married Lauri (Larry) Voutilainen in 1969. She is predeceased by her husband Larry and four of her siblings.
She is survived by her son Jarmo Aarnio (of Raahe); daughter Linda Hayes (James Hayes) and grandchildren Ryan, Ian & Natalie; 3 of her siblings and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations can be made in her name to: Second Chance Food Inc.; Community Center of Northern Westchester (Food Bank) or Brewster Community Food Pantry.
