In Loving Memory of Carmen Soto July 6, 1938 – January 30, 2022 On behalf of the Soto Family, we want to thank you for coming today to share in our sorrow and our joy as we celebrate Carmen's beautiful life. Carmen was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on July 6, 1938. She grew up to be a strong, hard-working, kind, and caring person. She married her late husband, Domingo, at the age of 17, and they built a wonderful life together for 63 years. Carmen loved being around her family. She was very active. She loved cooking, sewing, doing all types of arts and crafts, taking walks, and gardening. She loved the Lord and attended church frequently. There she was a Sunday school teacher and taught many children about the Lord. It gave her pleasure to bake cupcakes, cookies and to give candy to the children. Not only did she pray and read her Bible daily, but she found great joy in singing praises and worshipping the Lord. In 2014, Carmen was diagnosed with dementia which progressed to Alzheimer. Alzheimer did not define who Carmen was as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a giving spirit to all who came in contact with her. She is survived by 4 siblings, 7 children, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She is missed by her family and friends. Together we celebrate her life and praise our God. We miss you greatly.
