Nellie Palamarczuk passed away peacefully on February 9, 2022 at Ridgefield Crossings assisted living facility.
Nellie was born on April 10, 1930 in Armonk, NY in a house that stood at the intersection of Main Street and Whippoorwill Road. She was the ninth child born to Matilda and Ray Ferris. The families of both parents had lived in Armonk for generations.
Nellie married Anthony Palamarczuk, also of Armonk, on April 27, 1952. They had one daughter, Susan, who lives with her husband Peter in Hopewell Junction, NY.
She retired from the Byram Hills Central School District in 1995 and lived until October 2021 in Armonk. Nellie had been active in the North Castle Seniors group and was a member of the North Castle Historical Society.
