Obituary of Ralph Robert DiGiovanni

Ralph Robert DiGiovanni Sr, 78, lifelong resident of Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully after a short illness on February 15, 2022. He was born on August 4, 1943 in Yonkers, NY, son of Dominick and Grayce (Gasparre) DiGiovanni.
Ralph was a graduate of Commerce High School. He served two years in the US Army, in which one year he was a combat medic stationed in Vietnam. After serving in the Army, he was employed by Con Edison as a meter technician for 32 years and retired in 1999.
Ralph enjoyed bowling, fishing and going on road trips with his family. He was a devout Yankee and Detroit Lions' fan. He will be remembered as a caring, loving, funny and patriotic man and loved by all who knew him. It never failed that wherever he went, he would meet someone he knew.
On December 28, 1968, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth (Beth) O'Neill. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, and his beloved children, Christine and Ralph Jr. He is also survived by his brother, Duke (Gayle), his sisters Rose Ann & Grayce, nephew, Matthew, niece Megan, and her daughters, Gabriella & Giovanna, as well as many brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and great nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, his mother in law and father in law, John & Elizabeth O'Neill and his nephew, Johnny O'Neill.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 18th from 2pm to 7pm at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 19th at St. Anthony's Church 10 Squire Avenue, Yonkers, NY at 10:00 AM .
Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 114 Sprain Road, Yonkers, NY.
At the request of the family, masks must be worn. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Christian Brothers Attn: Mr. Patrick Donahue, District Advancement Office, P.O. Box 238, Lincroft, NJ 07738.
