Obituary of Barbara E. Mueller

Raised in Yonkers, Barbara was the daughter of Rosemarie (nee Seidel) and George Mueller. She attended local public schools and graduated from Westchester Community College and Downstate Medical College. She made her career as a radiologic technologist at Westchester Medical Center as well as at area medical Offices. Barbara was known for her warmth, compassion and a quick wit. Her smile could light up a room. She also loved dogs and kept a number as pets over the years. Barbara was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Marion Witts and Louise Squires. Barbara is survived by her wife, Evelyn Sanchez; her brother James Seidel (Terri) and their adult children, James and Brian; her brother Peter Seidel (Carmen) and his adult children, Peter and Cynthia; and her niece Stephanie Heine and her adult children, Kimberley, Jonathan, Christopher and grandnephew Jaxon. Barbara cherished her family. She rarely missed a birthday or special event, sending a card or calling if she could not be on hand. The wake will be held at Sinatra Memorial Home at 499 Yonkers Ave. from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Yonkers Ave in Yonkers at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 16. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 10 Stevens Ave. in Hawthorne. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
