Obituary of Rose F. Lupinacci
Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rose Vincene Lupinacci, 92, a longtime Yonkers resident, passed away on March 11 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Rose was born on March 23, 1930 to Mentina (Colarusso) and Enrico Fiore in Mount Vernon, New York.
Rose enjoyed her childhood in Mount Vernon with a large extended family. After graduating A.B. Davis High School in Mount Vernon, Rose worked at Consolidated Edison Company, Walker Color Labs, and finally 25 years in her favorite role within the Executive Office of Iona College, New Rochelle.
Rose was pre-deceased by her husband, Frank A. Lupinacci, and her brother, Louis J. Fiore. She is survived by her daughter, Maryellen D'Angelo of Yonkers, New York, and her son, Thomas Lupinacci, of Port St Lucie, Florida. Rose was immensely proud of her granddaughters and their families, Amy D'Angelo Cachina (Renato) and Lisa D'Angelo Viglietta (Paul). The love of her life was the blessing of great-grandchildren: Zarius and Samaya Cachina, Saige and Phoenix Viglietta. Rose will also be missed by her sister, Patricia Fiore Sikorski, and her nephews David (Jessica) Sikorski, Matthew Sikorski, and Stephen Nippert (Mark).
Rose enjoyed traveling everywhere; simple day trips and get-aways to east coast beach towns stretching from Miami to New Jersey and Montauk. Her favorite vacations were spent with family and friends in Europe, especially in Italy.
Rose will be forever remembered for her deep faith, and as a voracious reader, promoter of higher education, incredible baker, amazing seamstress, and selfless loving support of her family.
