Obituary of Joan M. Masella

Please share a memory of Joan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joan Masella passed away peacefully on March 17th surrounded by her family. Joan was born on May 2, 1937 to Grace (Carlucci) and Angelo Raguso in Yonkers, NY. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1954. On April 11, 1959 she married Anthony Masella and they made their home in Yonkers before moving to Scarsdale. Joan made her career as a controller in the automotive industry for 50 years. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. She was the center of our universe. Joan loved to cook and bake and was famous for her Easter pies. Her greatest pleasure was having her family around her. She greeted everyone with her beautiful smile and they felt her warmth. Everyone who knew her loved her. She never lost her sense of humor. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. She is survived by her loving husband Anthony, her children Rose (Robert) Venuti and Frank (Dawn) Masella, her grandchildren Angela Venuti, Robert (Christina) Venuti, Marissa Masella and Anthony Masella and her great-granddaughter Angela Rose Venuti. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Mary Ellen Pease, Patricia Callaghan, Donna (Paul) Papitto, Joseph Raguso and Anthony (Linda) Raguso and her cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
