Obituary of Ruth Haimindra
Please share a memory of Ruth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ruth "Ruthie" Blossom Haimindra, the daughter of Harry and Dorothy Haimindra, was born on September 09, 1970. After a sudden illness, she went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 05, 2022 in New York, NY.
Ruth was born in Guyana, South America and raised, both there and in New York, alongside her 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
A kind, giving, and loving person, Ruth gave of herself unselfishly to others, especially her family. She was a "mother" to many of her nieces and nephews, for whom she had a special love.
An adventurous spirit, she was the first of her family to take on the enterprising act of moving clear across the country to Arizona all on her own. Her travels would continue on and take her to far away places like Australia, Jamaica, Mexico, etc. A fierce lover of the Yankees and the Giants, she was a sports and outdoors lover. She had a love and exuberance for life that was contagious.
Ruth is survived by her parents, Harry and Dorothy, her siblings Kenny (Lynn) Haimindra, Barlow Haimindra, Rebecca (Chris) Baust, Barbara (George) Ramos, Tina (Audun) Jensen, Rowena (James) Dunckelman, Jerry (Sharon) Haimindra, & Hannah (Joshua) Mihaylo, and her nieces and nephews Christopher (Jaimie) Ramos, Neil Haimindra, Jonathon Haimindra, Matthew Ramos, Elizabeth Moore (Gregory) Damalas, Tommy Haimindra, Andrea (Rachael) Haimindra, Joshua Haimindra, Andrew Ramos, Mario Haimindra, David Ramos, Rachael Mihaylo, Christina Mihaylo, Nicholas Dunckelman, Riana Baust, & Sofia Haimindra.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 4pm-8pm at Sinatra Community Home for Funerals located at 601 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704 and also for the funeral services on Thursday, May 12, 2022, 10:30am at Sinatra Community Home for Funerals with burial services to follow in Oakwood Cemetery at 304 Lexington Ave, Mount Kisco, NY 10549.
