Obituary of Norval Smith

Norval Ashley St. Aubyn Smith, age 72, sadly passed away on Father's Day, Sunday, June 19th, 2022. Norval, more commonly known as Vin, was born to Norman Smith and Mervyn Petgrave on February 22nd, 1950 in Westmoreland, Jamaica. Throughout his life, Vin was very gifted with his hands as he was known to disassemble items and reassemble them just because be could. He was even more gifted with the ability to light up any and every room with not only his gigantic build but with his even bigger but ever so gentle personality. Vin was able to get a smile or laugh just out of anyone that came across his path. Vin was a very humble, hardworking, ambitious, jovial and family oriented person. He proved himself to be an exceptional father to his two children and a wonderful husband to his wife. He would always put his family first above all else and that would also include himself no matter the circumstances. Though he is no longer with us, his love will forever remain within. Vin is survived by his wife Carol, his two children Mark and Rochelle, his granddaughter Arianna, his brothers and sisters Garnett, Calvin, Ardith, Daphane and Roxanne and his nephews and nieces. Please join us in paying our last respect to honor and celebrate the life of Norval "Vin" Smith. The service will be held on Saturday, June 25th, 2022 from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Sinatra Memorial Home and the burial will immediately follow at Ferncliff Cemetery. We gained an extra special angel to watch over all of us.
