Obituary of Blanca Margarita Rivas, 1976- 2022
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved Blanca Margherita
Rivas on August 18, 2022.
Blanca was affectionately known as "Blanquita" to our family. Her family was everything to her. She loved gathering her family together, cooking and preparing all of their favorite dishes. Blanca was a loving mother to her three children, Hugo Alberto, Jennifer & Kayley; they were her courage as she fought her illness for over six years.
Blanca came to New York in 1998 from El Salvador for a better life. One of eight siblings, she
appreciated and loved every member of her family. While she loved her family, when she had a
moment to herself, she loved to power walk for miles.
Blanca is survived by her husband Hugo Rodriguez. Blanca's love for her husband and children will never extinguish, she will live on in their hearts. Blanca's dedication to her family should be an example to us all about living a life of selflessness, humility, and care. She will be missed but never forgotten.
