William "Bruce" Washienko born February 2, 1947, and passed away unexpectedly September 12, 2022. Predeceased by his parents William M. Washienko and Sophie Teresa (Dabkowski) Washienko. Survived by his brother Warren Washienko from Hagerstown MD, nephew Michael Washienko and cousins.
Graduated from Hastings High in 1965 and went on with his education to Park College in Missouri. Continuing his education, he graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1969.
Bruce born in Yonkers lived in Hastings on the Hudson where he resided till 2018 and permanently moved to Pompano Beach Florida. He worked as an accomplished teacher in NJ, then took up employment at Thruway Authority in NY, Supervisor of Unemployment and lastly for the Department of Labor Safety & Health as an OSHA inspector.
Bruce served in the National Guard 101st single battalion Yonkers, NY. Simple pleasures in life brought great joy to Bruce, A Rolling Stones song or His passion sports… As an avid NY Giant Fan, he would never miss a game. Bruce could put a smile on your face with just a hello and never did you see him without one himself. He always attended his local church, admired by many, he will be missed dearly.
