Obituary of Mary Patricia Jordan

Over the course of 91 beautiful years of life, Mary (Pat) Jordan was many things. She was a basketball player, a roller skater, a devout Catholic, an incredible cook and baker, a loving daughter, sister, and wife, but above all she was a beloved Mother and Grandmother. Pat was born and raised in the Bronx. She graduated from Holy Rosary in 1945 and St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1949. She married Thomas (Bud) Jordan on September 1st, 1952 who preceded her death in 1980. She treasured her role as mother to her only daughter, Patricia (Patti). The two had an inseparable bond and were together through Pat's final moments. Pat was admired for her strength and resilience, especially after she was left widowed at a young age and joined the workforce as a secretary to become an administrative assistant at Allstate Insurance Company in Pearl River. She cared deeply for everyone she knew. She was our prayer angel and would pray for all of her loved ones and their friends and family no matter the occasion. She was known for her love of ice cream and all sorts of sweets and made the most delicious apple pie in the world. She very much enjoyed spending summers down the shore surrounded by family and nothing made her smile more than seeing her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren grow up. Pat is pre-deceased by her mother and father, Mary and Leroy Lennon and husband, Bud Jordan. She is survived by her daughter, Patti and son-in-law Larry and her two grandchildren Ryan and Kelly. She is also survived by her sisters Anne (Dick) McCullough and Dorothy (Bob) Kosiewicz, loving nieces and nephews and their spouses/children.
