Obituary of Gaetano Gigi

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gaetano Gigi of Boca Raton. He was 65 years old when he passed at 9:05am on September 28th, 2022. He was surrounded by his family.

Gaetano was predeceased by his father and mother, Andrea and Filomena Gigi. He is survived by his wife Teresa Scopino and their three children, Andrea, Francesca, and Gianfranco. He is also survived by his three sisters and their spouses and children, Nancy, Jennie, and Gina. Gaetano was born in Sarno, Italy on October 24th, 1956. At the age of 10 he came to America with his family. In 1990 he married Teresa Scopino and together they raised their three children, Andrea, Francesca, and Gianfranco.

Gaetano worked all his life as a Pizzaman. He started at the age of 15. Gaetano also had his own Pizzeria and Cigar shop. He had a passion for classic cars, boats, and especially motorcycles. He enjoyed fishing. He was a cigar aficionado. He enjoyed being around his children. He would take them to Nascar races, attend classic car shows as well as Monster Truck shows. He had many hobbies. He loved going to concerts from oldies music to metal rock music to country music. His hobbies as an adult included playing in a softball league, playing ice-hockey, and being in a bowling league. Gaetano was a quiet man and loved being around his children, kids, family and friends. Gaetano was a quiet gentle soul who had a beautiful smile. He leaves this world known as a nice guy and the best pizzamaker.

Sinatra Memorial Home(499 Yonkers ave, Yonkers NY, 10704) on Friday, October 21, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Committal Service will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 11:30 AM at Ferncliff Cemetery (280 Secor Rd., Hartsdale NY, 10520)
