Obituary of Anna M. Rizzi

Anna Rizzi a lifelong resident of Yonkers for 86 years died Sunday October 9, 2022, at St. John's Riverside Hospital surrounded by her children. She was 86.

She was born November 9, 1935, in Yonkers to Sergio and Filomena DiCesare.

On November 19th, 1960, she married William (Whitey) Rizzi at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Yonkers. Mrs. Rizzi was a stay-at-home Mom until her beloved husband retired and then they opened Terry and Jerry's Homemade Italian Ices on South Broadway in Yonkers for 6 years. Thereafter she went to work for 10 years at Refined Sugars in Yonkers where she loaded syrup trucks. Anna enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, puzzle books and her poker machine.

She is survived by her daughter Theresa Rizzi of Yonkers, her son Gerard Rizzi of Yonkers, and her sister Rose Pazienza of Yonkers.

Visitation will be held Thursday October 13, 2022, at Sinatra Funeral Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private Committal at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, NY will be on Friday October 14th, 2022.
