Paulette Helene Roccamo of Yonkers (formerly the Bronx) passed away after a brief illness on Friday, October 7th, 2022. Paulette was born on November 30th, 1925, to Henri and Lydie Chapatte, both Swiss immigrants. She studied art, fashion design and illustration and after World War Two became an airbrush artist with Norwood Greeting Cards. Paulette met her future husband, Antonio Roccamo, at a church function at St. Anthony Parish in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, where they both attended Mass. They engaged to be married and wed there on November 11th, 1956. Paulette was the proud mother of Patricia Roccamo Grady and Anthony L. Roccamo, who survive her. While raising her children she continued to pursue her love of drawing, in addition to being an expert at sewing and knitting. She often made clothes for her family and usually made her own dresses for social occasions. In addition to her children, Paulette is survived by her two beloved grandchildren, Erin Grady and Tara Grady. The viewing will be held Wednesday, October 12th, 2022, from 4PM to 8PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, located at 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY. The funeral mass will be held at St. Frances of Rome Church, 4307 Barnes Avenue, Bronx NY, on Thursday, October 13th, 10:00 AM.
