Obituary of Nicola Notaro

Nicola Notaro, 88, passed away October 21, 2022. Coming over from Italy at a very young age, he met his sweetheart Dominica DeSimone and was married on July 23rd, 1961 in Yonkers, NY. Together they had 4 children, Deborah, Christina, John, and Antoinette. He worked as a union laborer until his retirement. Nicola was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dominica on December 11, 2019. He is survived by his 4 children, daughter-in-law Lisa, son-in-law Anthony and 6 grandchildren, Jenny, Michelle, Anthony, Nicholas, Gianna, and Rocco. Originally resided on Oak street in Yonkers, NY. The last 30 years on Tibbetts road. Yonkers, NY. Lovingly known to all his grandchildren as "Pa" he was known for his "green thumb", which resulted in his proudly grown fig trees, tomatoes & lush garden. Loved and adored by many nieces and nephews, Poppa Nicky brought smiles to all his neighbors and acquaintances. Through his thick italian accent he always managed to make everyone around him smile and laugh. He will be missed but never forgotten...
