Assunta "Cindy" Steves of Yonkers, NY peacefully died February 3, 2010. She was 75 years old. Cindy was born on August 10, 1934 to Vincent and Josephine DeMarco. Her remarkable life was highlighted by work as a dance teacher in the 1950's and a supervisor for Bell Telephone. In recent years, she was an active member of the Coyne Park Senior Center and dedicated a great deal of her time to organizing donation drives for our troops stationed in Iraq. Her inner beauty and compassion for anyone in need left an indelible mark on her family and friends who will miss her dearly. Beloved wife of the late Ernesto Steves, they were married on August 22nd, 1959. Loving mother to Elizabeth (Anthony) Lucadamo, Joanna (Brian) Kennedy, Josephine (Daniel) Darretta, Vincent (Donna) Steves and Andrea (Robert) Grizzaffi.
