Obituary of Maria A. Nuñez

Maria Antoñia Nuñez, known to everyone as Toña, went to be with her Lord and savior on Saturday, November 5th 2022. She was 80 years old. Born April 6th, 1942 in Hatillo, Puerto Rico to the late Maria and Antonio Nuñez the eldest of their fifteen children. A devoted sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother, Toña was an avid cook, a talented seamstress, and a dedicated caretaker throughout the years. She devoted herself to her faith being a long time member of the congregation at Filipos Pentecostal Church in Yonkers and in her later years at Casa de Dios. Known for her creativity and humor, she flourished around her family and cherished all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Toña is survived by her seven children Luis A. Crespo 59, Elizabeth Crespo 57, Moses Crespo 56, Gabriel Crespo 55, Sarah Mercedes 54, Joshua Crespo 53, and Maria Crespo 52, predeceased by her eldest son George Luis Crespo (September 23rd, 1962 - October 17th, 2018), fifteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her thirteen siblings, and various nieces and nephews.  Services will be held: Thursday, November 10th, 2022 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
