Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Edith L. Rocafuerte on November 8, 2022, at the age of 85.
Edith was born on January 19th, 1937, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, to Francisco Yepez and Rosa Guerra.
She was a devoted loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend to so many whose lives she touched. She was best known for her kindness, unselfish acts, generous spirit, and her will to seize precious moments. She treasured all her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana "Roc."
Edith was a lady to be admired. Whenever you saw her, she was dressed impeccably with an elegant style one would see in a magazine. Style and grace would be the perfect way to describe her, the epitome of a lady through and through. Her talent for cooking was another trait that helped define her. She enjoyed feeding her family and friends with her culinary delights. Whether it was for 2 people or 20 there was always an abundance of delicious dishes served with so much love.
Throughout the years, she was an extraordinary and talented seamstress who prided herself in being a perfectionist. Her unique exceptional clothing designs of wedding gowns, birthdays, christenings, and outfits for all occasions had such positive impacts that will last a lifetime. She found immense joy in making others always look and feel good, especially during such special and memorable occasions.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Walter Rocafuerte, her son Walter, and her grandson Wellington.
Edith was truly a delightful, generous, easy-going, fun-loving human being who brought so much joy to all others. The world is a much lesser place without her, but her lifelong memories will live forever in our hearts.
