Mary Liberatore (nee Trotta) passed away peacefully on November 15th 2022.
Mary was born in 1932, the youngest of 3 daughters, to Antonio and Maristella Trotta in New York City and was a lifelong resident of Yonkers. She was a graduate of Commerce High School, and worked as a private secretary for the H.L. Green Company in Manhattan for 6 years.
Mary married Arthur "Chi Chi" Liberatore in 1953. Her husband passed away in 1998.
Mary was an active member of The Racquet Club on Park Hill for many years, during which time she served as a club officer, participated in many of the annual plays, handled club rentals, and was an accomplished tennis player for numerous competitive teams.
Mary was also a member of several other organizations, including The St John the Baptist Rosary Altar Society, The Luther Burbank Garden Club, and the Chaminade Music Club, all located in Yonkers. Lastly, Mary fulfilled her passion for dance as a member of The New York Dance Center in Ardsley, for which she participated in many of their shows.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, sisters Julia Zottoli and Ida DiPasquasio, and a daughter Stephanie in 1967.
Mary is survived by daughter Dana (Tom), son Arthur (Robyne), and 5 grandchildren: Thomas, Gregory, and Philip Olin, and Vincent and Dannie Liberatore.
Whenever she was with her family, Mary was at her happiest. Whether it was a holiday and her house was full, or just quiet time watching one of her grandchildren, Mary was never without a smile on her face or love in her heart. She was a woman of incredible strength, and those that knew her will miss her dearly. The lives that she touched are forever better because of her.
