Our brother Michael passed away at Kingston Hospital, New York due to pneumonia and other medical complications.
Michael was born on January 23, 1962 at Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital in New York City. He is predeceased by our parents Gloria and Julio Martinez.
He is survived by his brother Julio Martinez, nephews Julio C. Martinez and Christian Martinez and extended family members. His sister Loida Hernandez, niece Gloria Rivera and Louis Hernandez and extended family members. His sister Lupe Martinez, niece Lizzette Spinnato, and Marcus Martinez and family members.
Michael lived in a residence in upstate New York due to mental and physical disabilities having contracted chicken pox while in our mother's womb. Due to our own parent's physical challenges, he was placed in residence at the age of five (5).
My brother Julio and I were very much engaged in Michael's care and frequently visited him and to evaluate his level of care. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
