Dorothea M. Mandick passed away on February 10, 2010 at Calvary Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Dorothea was born on February 20, 1925 in Oyster Bay, Long Island. She was the daughter of Vincent and Lucia Gleeson. Dotty married Basil "Bill" Mandrick in 1946 and has resided in Hastings-on-Hudson since that time. Dotty and Bill owned and operated Mandrick's Market until 1986. Dotty was an avid golfer and belonged to the Sprain Valley Golf Club. She was also an active member of the Women's Auxiliary to the VFW in Hastings. Dotty is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Ormerod and Rita Agulles, four grandchildren, Kevin, Billy, Christine and Teresa and two great grandchildren, Jessica and Kaylie. Dotty's son, William, predeceased her. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Hastings Funeral Home 15 Spring St. Hastings on Hudson, NY. Funeral Mass Monday 10 AM St. Matthew's Church.
