Obituary of Barbara J.S. Steiner

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Barbara J S Steiner Malabe (nee Sullivan), who passed away surrounded by her family on January 28th, 2023. Barbara will be missed by her husband of 35 years Frank A. Malabe, her loving son Gregory A. Steiner, daughter-in-law Caitlyn Wilson-Steiner, her parents Raymond Sullivan and Katherine Powell, her siblings Bonnie A. Cirrincione and William Sullivan, her brothers-in-law Rio A. Malabe, Gilbert Franqui, and Tony Cirrincione, Mother-in-law Cristina Lopez (nee Malabe), and Sisters-in-law Yvette Franqui, Alison Hudson, and Jacqueline Sullivan. 

Barbara will be remembered for the beautiful light in her soul and her loving generous nature by her family, extended family, and many friends whose lives she touched with grace and love. Her family would like to express their sincere thanks to the ICU staff at Montefiore Hospitals in New Rochelle, and the doctors and staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering. 

There will be a home going celebration for the life of Barbara Steiner Malabe on Saturday, February 4th from 1:00 - 5:00 PM held at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave. Yonkers, New York 10704, (914-963-5263).
