Obituary of Gloria Rosselli

Gloria Rosselli, of Chappaqua, NY, a long-time teacher in Chappaqua Public Schools, passed away on January 27, 2023. Gloria was born in 1926 to Teresa and John Boggiano and grew up in New York City. She would have been 97 years old on March 14, 2023. She was married 59 years to Albert, who passed away in 2014. Gloria is survived by her sister-in-law Anne Griffin; children Robert, Lynne and Richard (Helen), and grandchildren Nicholas and Katelyn. Gloria began her career with a master's degree in chemical engineering from City College of NY, the first woman to graduate from the college with this degree. She earned a Professional Engineer status, which was very rare for a woman at that time and worked for a number of years in the oil refinery industry. After marriage, she devoted herself to raising her three children and started teaching math and science in the Chappaqua Schools. Gloria will be remembered by many through her long second career as a math teacher at Horace Greeley High School. Gloria's passions outside her career and family included gardening and family vacations at Lake George. Private family burial was held on Monday, January 30th.
