Obituary of Donna M. Roberti
Please share a memory of Donna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Donna Maria Roberti, beloved daughter of Florence Hlawatsch and Ralph Roberti, and beloved sister of Linda (Sam) Herko, passed away peacefully after suffering a major stroke almost four years ago. Donna graduated from SHHS in Yonkers, and proceeded to become accomplished in many areas. She was a professional dancer and hair color model; a skilled salon worker; and an office manager for a general contractor for 44 years. During those years as a part-time student, she earned her BS Degree and a real estate sales person license used on weekends. No matter how busy, Donna made time to help others. She worked at soup kitchens and cared for those who were sick physically, mentally, and emotionally, and gave consolation to those in hospice whose names she didn’t even know. She had the ability to make people laugh and was unselfishly available to others. She was my role model and touched my life as she touched the lives of others. During her illness, she showed me courage and strength and acceptance. May God’s light withinher soul continue to shine and may she always know she will be loved and never forgotten. As one of my friends said, “Donna was a class act and always a Lady.”
In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Heart Association or to plant a tree in Donna's memory would be greatly appreciated.
