Obituary of Marie Louise Lalime

Marie Louise Lalime born Louise Massenat age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2023 at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, New York. She was born February 14, 1931 in La Roy Commune of Lascanobas, Haiti to Therese Julien and Paul Evins Massenat. She married Souvenir Lalime in 1955 in Lascahobas, Haiti. She was a seamstress and business woman from the age of 20 years old, traveling and selling goods. She dedicated her life to caring for her children. Marie was very generous and cared for those around her. She is survived by three brothers, Emmanuel Massenat, Poleus Massenat, Aurel Massenat; seven daughters, Marie Therese St. Jean, Jeanine Lalime, Hernante Lalime Macenat, Huguette Antoine, Marie Andre Lalime, Rodelie Honore, Leslyne Marc. Fourteen grandchildren, Johnny St. Jean, Terry St. Jean, Jameel Pierre,  Woldy D. Jean-Paul, Eddy Nathan Besse, Malinnovsky David, Marschly Antoine, Carschena Antoine, Gregory Antoine, Jimmy Hendrick, Jensen Honore, Valmir Honore, Leshea Marc, Elnathan Marc; five great-grandchildren Carmen L. St. Jean, Micah St. Jean, Amina H. Jean-Paul, Zydell L. Jean-Paul, Oliver L. Jean-Paul, Julien Hendrick and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family, friends, loved ones and others whose lives Marie touched are invited to the home going service at the Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle, 71 Lincoln Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801 from 6PM-9PM on Friday, March 24, 2023. The funeral service will follow on March 25 from 9AM-12PM. Burial to follow at Kensico Cemetery.
