On April 17, 2023, Barbara Luma, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt passed away. Barbara was the loving wife and best friend of her late husband of 54 years, Charles. She was the dedicated and loving mother of her two sons, Daren and Jayson. Barbara was the doting and devoted "nanny" to her ten grandchildren, Abigayle, Isabella, the late Mary Elizabeth, Michael, Charles, Matthew, Gabriella, Maxwell, Sophie and Jace. Barbara was the caring sister of Anthony Vasi. Barbara was the precious daughter of the late Anthony and Jean Vasi. Barbara cared deeply for all of her in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins and all of her extended family and friends.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 21st from 2pm to 8pm at Daren's home at 134 Northfield Ave. in Dobbs Ferry. A funeral mass will be held at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church on Warburton Ave. in Hastings-on-Hudson on Saturday, April 22nd at 12:45 p.m., followed by an interment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
