B. Richard Boscamp, of Armonk, NY passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Born April 14, 1931 in New York City, he was the son of Nicholas and Julia Boscamp. Both of his parents died before his 5th birthday. He attended Lake Placid (NY) High School and started his first business at age 16 years. He was the president of Boscamp Distributors, a wholesale housewares and electrical supply corporation based in Valhalla, NY. He also developed commercial real estate in Westchester County, NY. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was a Past District Governor of the Lions Club and a long-term member of both the Mount Vernon, NY and Armonk, NY Lions Clubs. He was also a member of the Elks Club and was a Freemason. He served as a leader in the Hutchinson River Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He helped found the Parents Fund at Williams College. His love of life and family was inspirational to all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Helen R. Boscamp of Armonk, NY, his three children, Dr. Jeffrey Boscamp (Dr. Yuki Kimura) of New York, NY, Patricia Cluss (Edward Cluss) of Atherton, CA and Julie Boscamp (Antonio DiMeglio) of Armonk, NY and Parma, Italy. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tyler Leone, Nicholas Boscamp, Hannah Stenmark, Emi Boscamp, Max Cluss, Sofia DiMeglio, Isabella DiMeglio, and Luca DiMeglio as well as a great-granddaughter, Siena Stenmark. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Oelker-Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Mt. Kisco, NY with visiting from 1-4pm and a funeral service at 3pm. Interment will be at Middle Patent Cemetery, Middle Patent Rd., Bedford, NY on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11am.
