Obituary of Paola Pinori

Paola Pinori, a long time resident of Yonkers, NY passed away on June 21, 2023 at the age of 93. Paola was born in Tagliacozzo Italy on February 6, 1930 to Anna & Antonio DeSanctis. She grew up and attended school there. There she met the love of her life, Aldo Pinori and they married on January 25, 1953. They had four children Pietro, Anna, Antonio (deceased) & Antonio. In 1967 they followed her parents to the United States to make a better life for their family. They settled in Yonkers, NY where she worked as a seamstress for many years. Paola was a very strong smart woman who in spite of the language barrier did everything for her family. She bought and sold three houses, she paid all the bills, shopped and did everything she could for her family. She was an excellent cook and you could always find her in the kitchen making delicious home made meals. She was also an excellent seamstress and was always fixing or mending something for whoever needed it. Family meant everything to her and she loved her children and adored her grandchildren. Paola is survived by her three children - Pietro (Debbie) Pinori, Anna (Anthony) Russo, Antonio (Evelyn) Pinori and her six grandchildren - Daniela (Mark), Peter (Marris), Anthony, Jonathan, Kassandra & Monica and four great grandchildren - Gabriella, Marco, Olivia and Dominick. She is pre-deceased by her husband Aldo, her brother Arnaldo DeSanctis and her (4 month old) son Antonio. Our "Mamma", "Nonna", Bisnonna" will be severely missed but will live in our hearts forever.
