Obituary of Anthony G. Risicato

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anthony Gene Risicato , " Papa Tony" - born March 11, 1943 - passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, June 25th, 2023. He was 80. Tony, a friend to everyone who knew him, was one of four children to his beloved parents Gloria Longo and Anthony Risicato Sr, and is survived by his two loving sisters, Elizabeth DiPenice and Barbara Risicato along with his nieces and nephew. Tony's brother Dennis, sadly passed away from an illness of his own, in 2016. Tony's love of this life, Yolanda Aponte, preceded him in death 4 years earlier after a short illness. Their myriad adventures together - from Camping to The City to the Catskills - and abiding love for one another, gladden our hearts and inspire us to be better partners. His passing will be sadly remembered by his son Anthony Risicato and his wife Christine Cook, his daughter Claire Taggart and her husband Gary Taggart along with their children, Trever and Evan. Tony Risicato, could always find the brighter side of the street, regardless of the challenge, circumstances or the weather. We could certainly all take a lesson from his ability and unswerving commitment to "smile and keep on keepin' on". Rest long and well, Dad, we'll keep the Bob Dylan playing. A memorial service will be held at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave Yonkers, NYon Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
