Obituary of Nancy Bollella

Nancy Bollella, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, at the age of 93 surrounded by family on Thursday, July 6, 2023. She was born on September 25, 1929, in Pomarico, Potenza (MT), Italy, to Pietro and Maria (née Carioscia) Ramaglia. She married Agostino Bollella in 1953.

Nancy is survived by her beloved children, Rocco Bollella and wife Darlene, Carmela Donnelly, and Donna DeCicco and husband Joseph, as well as her cherished grandchildren Michael Donnelly, Calie Donnelly, Anthony and wife Alexi Bollella, Alexandra Bollella, and best friend, granddaughter Gabriella DeCicco. Nancy was pre-deceased by her husband of 46 years, Agostino, and her brother, Vincent Ramaglia.

Nancy loved her family and loved nothing more than being together with everyone. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She loved her family more than everything and was always helping others. Nancy had a gift for growing flowers and vegetables and spent many summer days in her garden. She delighted in the pleasure of cooking and especially the ritual of hosting family and friends around her dining room table. Her fresh homemade pasta, lasagna, and escarole soup were second to none. And of course all who had the pleasure of knowing Nancy, enjoyed her delicious lemon cookies and delicate fatzelle ‘honey’ cookies.

Mom’s legacy will be carried on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be remembered for the warmth and hospitality that she extended to everyone she knew. Though we mourn her passing, we will forever cherish the countless memories we have shared, reminding us of the unconditional love she bestowed upon us. We look forward to being reunited with her one day in heaven.
